His Mission Is Your Mission
"Jesus came near and said to them, 'All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'" - Matthew 28:18-20
When I was saved by Jesus, I realized that I was no longer the boss of my life; I became a steward of my life. I am a steward of today, of my God-given gifts—spiritual, relational, financial. If you claim to be 'in Christ' but still see your life, money, and possessions as solely yours, you're missing it.
God blesses those “in Christ” with an expectation that they will redistribute those gifts to point others to Christ and accomplish His mission. And what is that mission? It’s the Great Commission—the call to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded.
When God changes your identity, He changes your mission. You are no longer living for yourself but for Him. You are called to go and make disciples, sharing the good news of salvation and leading others into a relationship with Jesus. This mission is not just for pastors or missionaries; it's for every believer.
As you go about your day, remember that you are on a mission from God. You are His ambassador, His representative, bringing His love and truth to a world in need. Let His mission become your mission, and let His presence and power empower you to fulfill it.
You are not alone in this mission. Jesus promised to be with you always, to the end of the age. Step out in faith, trusting in His authority and relying on His strength. Together with Him, you can make a difference in the lives of others and fulfill the purpose He has for you.
