Waiting in Faith
"But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law." - Galatians 4:4
Imagine living in a time when believing in God’s promise of peace required immense faith. Picture looking around, seeing a world filled with conflict, cruelty, and chaos, and then hearing a promise: peace is coming, and it’s coming in the form of a baby. The faith it would take to hold on to that hope, especially as days, years, and even centuries passed without seeing that promise fulfilled, must have been staggering.
The people of Israel waited hundreds of years after God promised them a Messiah. They lived and died, generation after generation, clinging to the hope that someday, peace would break through their dark world. And yet, in that long season of waiting, God never forgot His promise. When the time was right, He sent His Son, Jesus, the Prince of Peace, who fulfilled that promise in a way that surpassed anything they could have imagined.
Maybe you’re in a similar place right now. Maybe you’re waiting on God to show up in a situation that feels impossible. You might be wondering if He hears your prayers or if He even sees what you’re going through. Remember this: God is always faithful. He doesn’t make empty promises or let His people wait in vain. He is a God who comes through, even if it’s not in the timing we expect.
When you feel weary in waiting, remember that your hope rests in a God who keeps every promise. The peace that Jesus brought to this world didn’t come when Israel expected it, but it came at the perfect time. Let this truth strengthen your faith today. God has not forgotten you, and He has not abandoned you. Keep trusting, keep holding on, and believe that His peace will find you, too, right when you need it most.
