OUR GUIDING SLOGAN

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20

In the world of slogans and brand identities, there is one timeless message that transcends marketing strategies and resonates with the very essence of our purpose. It’s not a catchy phrase from a fast-food chain or a sports apparel giant, but rather the profound directive given to us by Jesus Himself—the Great Commission.

Our church, much like those iconic brands, seeks to be known for a core message that defines who we are and what we stand for. In the midst of various possibilities—preaching the Bible, engaging in worship, community service, or living on mission—we find our clarity in the Great Commission.

Jesus’ final instructions to His disciples serve as a North Star for our church. He calls us to go beyond our comfort zones and make disciples of all nations. The act of baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit symbolizes a transformative journey of faith for those we reach. However, the Great Commission goes beyond initiation; it involves teaching and equipping believers to follow Christ’s commandments.

As we reflect on this mission, we recognize that it’s not just a historical mandate for the early disciples—it’s a timeless call for us today. The promise of Jesus’ continual presence assures us that, as we step into the mission field, He goes with us every step of the way.
So, what does this mean for you?

Consider the Great Commission your personal mission statement. Embrace the call to share the love of Christ with those around you, baptizing them into a life transformed by His grace. Take up the responsibility of teaching and nurturing others in their faith journey.

The Great Commission isn’t a slogan confined to a church logo; it’s a living directive that applies to each believer. Today, as you go about your daily life, remember that you are part of a greater mission—a mission that echoes through the ages, reaching hearts and souls for eternity. May you find purpose and fulfillment in living out the Great Commission, knowing that Christ is with you always.
