WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD DO

June 6, 2023

“God is not man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?” – Numbers 23:19

One thing you never have to question is the authenticity of God. I’m not just talking about His existence; we know He exists. I’m talking about His Word. Unlike Satan, who throws out empty promises that he can’t keep, God keeps every promise He has ever made.

Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?”

If God makes a promise to you, you can book it. It is as if it is already yours. That is how sure the promises of God are. We have become so accustomed to the devil and other people making promises they can’t keep.

Whether it is someone trying to sell a product that they say will change your life. Whether it is a broke friend promising they will pay you back. Or whether it is the devil promising that if you listen to him, you will be fully satisfied…

You have become so used to broken promises, it might not even phase you anymore. Sadly, it can lead us to question the promises of God. But God is not like us. He doesn’t make promises that He can’t keep.

God can and DOES keep every promise He ever makes. When He gives you a promise, He wants you to KNOW that that promise will come to fruition. You don’t have to question it. You don’t have to wonder about it. You don’t have to cross your fingers, you can go to sleep tonight knowing what God says, is true.

God will do what He said He would do. Stop worrying. There is no reason to worry. God doesn’t break promises. Your family might break promises. Your friends might break promises. But God never will. Rest in knowing God will do what He said He would do – every time.
