Recognizing Your Efforts
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” - John 14:6
Jesus has the power to open and close doors in your life that no one else can. He says, "I know your works. Look, I have placed before you an open door that no one can close because you have but little power; yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name" (Revelation 3:8). This message to the church in Philadelphia reminds us that our strength is not in ourselves, but in Jesus.
You may feel powerless at times, especially when facing life's challenges and the brokenness around you. The truth is, we don't have the power to save, heal, or bring true peace—only Jesus does. The church without Jesus is powerless, but with Him, we have access to divine power and grace.
Jesus also warns about those who pretend to follow Him but live in ways that contradict His teachings. He calls these false believers "the synagogue of Satan," emphasizing that their actions oppose God's truth. In our world today, it's easy to encounter people who claim to be Christians but don't live according to the Bible. Social pressures can make it tempting to blend in and deny Jesus in our daily lives.
Yet, Jesus commends those who remain faithful despite these challenges. He says, "You have kept my word and have not denied my name." Your faithfulness to Jesus, even when it's difficult and unpopular, matters to Him. He recognizes your efforts and stands by you.
Remember, Jesus loves His church deeply, and because of this, Satan opposes it fiercely. But take heart, because Jesus is powerful, and He has given you the key to access His strength and guidance. When you rely on Him, you can face any challenge with confidence.
Stay true to His word, and don't deny His name. Embrace the open doors He provides and trust that He will guide you through them. Jesus holds the key to your salvation, security, and satisfaction. Let Him be your source of strength, and you will find the power you need to live faithfully in His name.
