Are You Ready?
“Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming." – Matthew 24:42
One of the most common questions people ask me is, “Do you think we’re living in the last days?” Studies show that 63% of Evangelicals and 40% of the general population believe we are. The curiosity about the end times is nothing new; even as a little boy, I remember asking my dad when Jesus would return. His response was always simple: “We’re closer today than we’ve ever been.”
That’s the truth we can hold onto; we are closer to the return of Jesus today than ever before. But instead of focusing on when He will come back, the real question is: Are you ready?
The book of Revelation isn’t meant to be a puzzle that confuses you. It’s a gift from Jesus to prepare you for what’s ahead and to shape how you live today. It calls you to examine your heart and ask if you’re ready to meet Him—not just someday, but right now. What would it look like to live each moment prepared, with nothing standing between you and God?
This is a chance for you to pause and reflect. Is there something in your life that’s pulling you away from God’s best? Maybe it’s a hidden sin, a grudge you’ve been holding, or a priority that has taken God’s place. Today is the perfect time to lay it down and experience the renewal and freedom that only Jesus can give.
So ask yourself: Am I living ready? Am I walking closely with God, free of distractions, and using every opportunity to share His love? You don’t have to wait for the future to make those changes. You can start today. Let the reality of eternity impact how you live right now, and let Jesus lead you into a life that’s ready, purposeful, and filled with His presence.
